About Josephine County Criminal History

Josephine County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Records Division, Josephine County Circuit Court, Oregon State Police Criminal Justice Information Services, the Oregon Department of Corrections, and the Oregon Sex Offender Registry. Most offices are in Grants Pass, while Sheriff substations serve rural areas and Cave Junction. This site was built to help readers identify which official office holds a report, booking entry, court file, statewide history, custody record, or registry listing before they submit a request.

Why We Built This Site

Oregon provides several official access routes, but each route answers a different question. The Josephine County Sheriff's Records Division supplies releasable incident reports and CAD records, while the Adult Jail maintains booking and custody data. Josephine County Circuit Court keeps filed charges, case events, judgments, and sentencing documents. Oregon State Police Criminal Justice Information Services holds the fingerprint-linked state repository and operates Oregon Open Records. The Oregon Department of Corrections and Oregon Sex Offender Registry cover separate custody and public-notification records. We organize the verified contacts, request steps, portal limits, fees, and access rules for those offices.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Oregon court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file set-aside motions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that each listed phone number, fee, address, or office hour remains current

Only the record custodian, such as the Sheriff, Circuit Court, or Oregon State Police, can issue an official copy. This site identifies the route, but the document must come from that office.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes shown on some pages. A provider controls its service, pricing, data practices, and results. If a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee that supports free access to the reference material. We do not set the provider's charges, compile its results, or guarantee the accuracy of a match.
