1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independently operated without government ties. It does not hold official records, conduct official background checks, retrieve files, or submit documents on a visitor's behalf.

Its purpose is to identify the custodians of Josephine County records, including the Sheriff's Records Division, Josephine County Circuit Court, Oregon State Police Criminal Justice Information Services, and the Oregon Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, you agree not to:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to threaten, stalk, intimidate, harass, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also violate the law. Oregon Sex Offender Registry information is provided for public-safety awareness, not vigilantism or punitive action. ORS 163A.215 governs public notification, and misuse against a registrant or family member may lead to criminal prosecution or civil liability.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Josephine County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produces no consumer, credit, or background reports. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for applicant screening, rental review, insurance pricing, or credit decisions. You must not use site or linked-tool information to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check intended for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or an authorized official process, not from this website.

5. No Legal Advice

The website provides general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Josephine County charge, conviction, warrant, or Oregon set-aside rule applies to an individual situation. Consult a licensed Oregon attorney for legal guidance.

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Josephine County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, adapted, distributed, or used to create derivative material without prior written permission.
